Collection and use of information

Fervio collects two different types of information:

• Information you provide to us directly, when you register and on your profile (first name, last name, email, city, FFT ranking, gender, year of birth, playing hand, description, profile photo), as well as the content of the games you post and the messages you exchange with other players. This information is stored in our database to operate the site.
• Browsing information automatically collected by Google Analytics (see the next section): IP address, pages viewed, date and time of the visit, time spent on those pages, operating system and browser used. Fervio does not collect this information directly; Google Analytics, a third-party audience measurement service, does.

Cookies and audience measurement (Google Analytics)

Fervio uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it (pages viewed, time spent, browsing journeys). This is the only third-party service that any data is shared with. Where applicable law requires it, your consent will be obtained before this service is used.

Location data

Fervio does not access your device's precise geolocation (GPS). The mobile Application uses the city you provide yourself — on your profile or when creating a game — converted into approximate coordinates, in order to offer distance-based features (for example, finding players or games near a given city).

These coordinates remain internal to Fervio: they are not shared with any third party and are only used to calculate distance between players or games.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Publisher. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw your consent where processing is based on it, contact the Publisher at contact@fervio.fr.

Your data is never sold or shared

The data in your profile and your activity on Fervio (messages, games, history) is stored in our database and is never sold or disclosed to third parties. The only data shared with an external service is audience measurement via Google Analytics, which helps us track and improve the user journey on the site.

The Publisher may also use the information you provide to send you important information, required notices and, where the law permits, marketing communications.

Disclosure to third parties

Other than Google Analytics, the Publisher does not share your information with third parties, except in the following cases:

• where required by law, for example to respond to a subpoena or similar legal proceeding;
• where it believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, your safety or that of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a request from the authorities.

International data transfers

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google, based in the United States. Using it involves transferring data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Google relies on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to govern this transfer.

Right to withdraw

You can stop the collection of information about you by no longer using the Application. This will stop data collection from your device, but does not automatically delete information already recorded by the Publisher.

To request deletion of your personal data, withdraw your consent, or exercise any of your rights, contact the Publisher at contact@fervio.fr.

Data retention policy

The Publisher retains personal data based on how necessary it is for the stated purposes:

• Data you provide: kept for as long as you use the Application, plus an additional 12 months, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
• Automatically collected data: kept for up to 24 months from the date it is collected, unless a longer period is required to comply with legal obligations.
• Aggregated and anonymized data: kept indefinitely, since it can no longer identify you.
• Data required to comply with legal obligations: kept for as long as applicable law requires.

You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any applicable legal retention obligation, by contacting the Publisher at contact@fervio.fr. Note that some data may be necessary for the Application to function properly.

Deleting your data

You may request deletion of your personal data or your account by contacting the Publisher at contact@fervio.fr — or directly from your "My account" page. The Publisher will process your request within the time limits required by applicable law.

After verifying your identity, the Publisher will delete your personal data from its systems, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations or legitimate interests.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 16, or any higher age required by applicable law. The Publisher does not knowingly solicit data from children or promote the Application to them.

Where the consent of a parent or guardian is required by applicable law, the Application is not intended to be used without that consent. The Publisher does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 in violation of applicable law. If it turns out that a child has provided personal information, the Publisher will delete it from its servers immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided personal information to the Publisher, please contact us (contact@fervio.fr) so that appropriate action can be taken.

Security

The Publisher is committed to the confidentiality of your information. It implements physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes and stores.

Data breach notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, the Publisher will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, specifying, where required, the nature of the breach and the steps taken to address it.

Changes

The Publisher may update this privacy policy from time to time. It will inform you of any material change by publishing the updated policy along with its effective date. Where the law requires it, the Publisher will obtain your consent before such material changes take effect.

Previous versions of this policy will be kept and made available on request from the Publisher at contact@fervio.fr.

Your consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you provide it by actively opting in to the relevant feature or action. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before that withdrawal. Processing based on another legal basis is carried out as described above.
